Mary Madeline Moose, born on September 16, 1961, passed away on February 19, 2026, in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, surrounded by the love of her family. Mary lived her life with a generous heart, a steady strength, and a warmth that made everyone feel welcome in her presence.
She found joy in the land and the traditions she carried close to her heart—fishing on quiet mornings, hunting with family, picking berries in the summer, camping under open skies, and sharing laughter during bingo nights. More than anything, Mary treasured time with her grandchildren, who brought her endless pride and happiness.
Mary’s home was a place of comfort, safety, and open doors. Whether someone needed a warm meal, a place to stay, or simply a listening ear, she offered it without hesitation. Her kindness was constant and instinctive, and her generosity touched countless lives.
Mary is survived by her husband Daniel Michelle; her children Daniel Moose (Melinda) and Lucy Moose; her grandchildren Daniel Moose (Shanna), Charlie Moose (Chanelle), Thomas Moose (Raenna), Jordon Moose, Colby Moose, Dakota Moose (Sheyen), Brandon Moose (Julianne), Alexander Moose, Ehtan Moose, Jayden Moose; and her granddaughter Shaina Burns (Kian). She also leaves behind her great-grandsons Tyson Moose, Adonis Tate, Zayd Moose, Zxavian Moose, and her great-granddaughters Audrey Moose, Zena Moose, and Zoey Moose.
She is survived as well by her best friend and sister Terri Merasty; her brothers Manny (Baptise) Moose, Thomas Moose (Shelley), Gerald (Jerry) Moose, Raymond Hedley (Marnie); and her sisters Brenda Moose (Tom) and Elda Moose (Steve), along with numerous nieces and nephews who loved her dearly.
Mary was predeceased by her mother Lyna Marie Moose, father Noah Thomas Moose, stepfather Dale Raymond Hedley, her son Tyson Gerard Moose, Spitz Moose, and her sister Martha Rose Moose.
Mary will be remembered for her warm smile, her open heart, and the way she made everyone feel at home. Her legacy lives on in her family, in the traditions she passed down, and in the love she shared so freely. She will be deeply missed and forever cherished.
